The Great Canadian Kilt Skate 2026 edition is back!

Join the St. Andrew’s Society of Winnipeg on Louis Riel Day — Monday, February 16, 2026 for our annual Great Canadian Kilt Skate at the Riley Family Duck Pond in Assiniboine Park from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.

Whether you’re skating in tartan or cheering from the sidelines, everyone’s welcome to celebrate Scottish spirit (and Canadian winter fun)!Twice the winner of the title of Kilt Skate Capital of Canada, Winnipeg once again hosts the Great Canadian Kilt Skate. Celebrate Scotland’s contribution to Canada’s multicultural heritage. You don’t need a kilt. You don’t need to be Scottish. Just come on out to the Riley Duck Pond wearing a bit of Canada’s favourite colour: tartan!
